"Emma Love"
Emma's teacher, Mrs. Rossini, calls her "Emma Love" a lot. Emma loves Mrs. Rossini and thinks she is the greatest teacher in the world, as any kindergarten should think about their teacher. And Emma is right. Mrs. Rossini is a very special teacher. Today is her birthday, and Emma has been excited about it for over a month now. Of course, she loves that they share the same birthday month as her and Madison! She has been asking to bring Mrs. Rossini flowers all year, because she says Mrs. Rossini loves them, so we decided to give her some today. She also says Mrs. Rossini loves Dunkin Donuts Coffee, so we got her a little gift card for a few cups of coffee. Emma picked her out a special card and decorated it with sweet messages. She also said we had to buy this mini stick balloon to stick in the flowers. It was really hard to say no to her about this because she was just being so precious about it all. So, this morning, she headed out the door with a beautifully wrapped pink mum plant, with a "Happy Birthday" balloon stuck in it, with a sweetly written card, and a gift card inside it, and she was happy. Madison kept saying, "Why did you get her so many gifts? And I told her, it's not as much about Mrs. Rossini, even though we want to show her our appreciation for all she does, but it was about Emma. It was about the fact that I wanted to give my baby the opportunity to show her love to her special teacher the way she felt was so extravagant. I want her to grow up to be generous with her money, but even more extravagant with her love towards others, the same way God so generously pours out His love on us. Emma is a giver. Emma is thoughtful. Even more Emma is a praiser. She praises me all day long with her precious words. Every night before bed she will tell me "Mommy, I am so glad God gave me you for my Mommy". She will always sing both mine and Sterling's praises and never gives one praise without equal praise for the other, because she is so very considerate and thoughtful of other's feelings. In that same way, she needs a lot of praise back. She thrives on praise and quality time from both of us, and Madison. I just absolutely love who Emma is.
