Avery's First Baseball Game!

Avery went to her very first baseball game on Friday night to the new Yankee Stadium. First Baptist Pampa was here on mission trip to Crossroads and they generously bought Sterling and I tickets to go with them to the game. And of course, we had to take Avery with us! Our wonderful new summer intern, Hannah White, stayed home with Maddie and Emma. It was the subway series, so the Yankees were playing the Mets. Avery looked adorable in her "My first Mets T-shirt". The new stadium is beautiful. We enjoyed being out in the fresh air with Ave. At first, I was nervous, because we were on the very top row of the stadium, but it turned out to be perfect, because we were under shade from the sun! Sterling and I will never forget Madison's first baseball game to The Ballpark, in Arlington, Texas, to see the Rangers play the Yankees. Madison was just 3 months old. She got Mariano Rivera's autograph. We still have that ball. Emma's first game was to the Houston Astro's, at Minutemaid Park. Avery was awake almost the entire game, and it was a long, exciting, and loud game! We watched one Mets fan get arrested near us for fighting with a Yankees fan. Very interesting. Anyway, we love our friends from FBC Pampa, and appreciate them allowing us to be a part of their special night at Yankee Stadium. A few weeks from now, our entire family is going to the Mets game at Citifield. A family from our church blessed us with awesome seats! We look forward to going on our first outing with Avery as a family!
