Today, in room 112, of Woodward Parkway Elementary School, Mr. "Q" and Miss "U" are getting married! Emma and her class have been preparing all week long for the wedding! They have learned all about the wonderful sounds of these two fine letters and the words that begin with them. Every child in the class has a special role to play in the wedding. Bride, Groom, bridesmaids, cake servers, groomsmen, bell ringers, ushers, etc. Emma gets to be 1 of 2 most beautiful bridesmaids! She of course wanted to be the bride :), but I told her how special it is to be a bridesmaid, and so she is happy about her role! They are having wedding cake and everything! Emma got to bring the ginger ale to school for the special wedding toast! She made Mr. Q and Mrs. U a special card, and wrapped 2 quarters for their wedding gift. (All Quarters are going to a literacy program at school). We curled Emma's hair last night for the big day. She had a hard time getting comfortable in bed last night with all the rollers in her hair, but she wanted curly hair! All the girls are supposed to wear party dresses and Emma looks absolutely beautiful in hers! I just wish parents could attend the ceremony, but I know Emma will fill me in on every single detail! :)
